FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE . Still Time for Family Reunion Cookbooks Chicago, IL -- 3 April 2006 Summer is closing in, and author Wendy Whipple urges families to plan their family reunion cookbooks now. It takes at least three months to do it right, she states in her book entitled Creating an Heirloom: Writing Your Family's Cookbook. If you're planning a family reunion this year, there's still time to get a family cookbook put together. Whipple wrote Creating an Heirloom after compiling her own family's cookbook. A cookbook provides a unique opportunity to celebrate and preserve family history, and possibly even a way to raise funds for a large family reunion by selling the cookbooks. Currently there are no other comprehensive sources of information for compiling family cookbooks. Whipple is an author whose interests lie in genealogy and cooking. She is a member of the Heartland Writers Guild and the International Society of Family History Writers and Editors.
